Are you an artist or art student? Participate in the Carré sur Seine portfolio review for the opportunity to win the Prix de la ville de Boulogne! Present your work in one-on-one critiques with art experts organised by CARRÉ SUR SEINE.

 

Take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet professionals from the art world (foundations, gallerists, collectors, festival directors, journalists, critics, and more) during a weekend of portfolio reviews sponsored by CARRÉ SUR SEINE, the association of art galleries in Boulogne.

 

The reviews are open to artists working in all mediums (sculpture, photography, painting, printmaking, etc) and provide the invaluable experience to be critiqued on your work, to find outlets to exhibit, or to finance a project.

 

 

The concept:

Artists will present their work one-on-one with an art expert for a session of 20 minutes in a relaxed but professional atmosphere. These meetings allow artists, regardless of their discipline, to present their work to different experts ( each having one or many areas of expertise) and to benefit from the experienced eye of a professional and a receive a critical assessment of their work.

 

The reviews will be held over two days

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th June 2017

 

At the end of the event a jury will select a recipient of the Prix de la Ville de Boulogne-Billancourt and will award an endowment of

€3000

She was responsible for the programme of the municipal gallery Villa des Tourelles of Nanterre from 2004 to 2013 where she curated and co-curated thirty expositions bringing together around 200 international artists. From 2011 to 2014 she piloted the relocation of the municipal art space (La Terrasse espace d’art), which has now been open since June 2014. At La Terrasse she supervised the programming of four annual exhibitions, and the production and aid of their creation.

A journalist working in all forms of media (written press, radio, television, and online media) for several years, Patrick Le Fur's work has focussed on culture, primarily in fine art but also in music, literature, design, and architecture. He has written many articles in the general and art-specific press, including Beaux Arts Magazine, Le Gazette Drouot, L’œil, Art Actuel, Dada (for young people) and also the Swiss cultural journal ArtPassions. In particular he has been a regular contributor for several years to the bi-monthly Artension and to all their special themed issues. This art critic is also the author of around twenty books, of which about ten are books dedicated to a single artist.

After becoming fascinated by outside art, Pop art, as well as the French movements of « Art singulier » and « Figuration Libre » (and globally pop culture), he became particuarly interested in urban art. Within the Grenoble publishing house Critères Editions, he was the originator of a collection dedicated to this movement, « Opus Délits ». It was at Critères Editions that he wrote 11 works, including books on C 215, Jef Aérosol and Speedy Graphito, as well as Jacques Villeglé and a book of interviews with the painter Fred Kleinberg. Recently he notably wrote two long articles in the special edition issue of « Télérama » on the painter Henri Rousseau.
A man of the press and publishing, P. Le Fur has participated in the development of exhibitions and artistic events, either for private individuals, for specific locations (such as « l’Art au garage. Galerie G »), or at fairs including Art Shopping. He organised a stage dedicated to urban art with around ten performance artists throughout June 2010. He is also a designer and editor of press releases, an author of texts for artists (including forewords), a host of debates and round-table discussions, a lecturer and trainer.
